Maybe I’ve Gone Mad — But I’m Starting a Cybersecurity Consultancy Anyway

Yes, you heard me right.

I must have gone mad.
Because in 2025, with cybersecurity consultants popping up faster than phishing scams, I’ve decided to launch my own consultancy.

Who starts a business in one of the most crowded markets imaginable?
Apparently, this crazy old woman does.

Why? Because something’s broken.

It’s not just the number of consultants.
It’s the type of advice businesses are getting.

Everyone’s offering the same thing:

  • Another template.
  • Another tool.
  • Another subscription.
  • Another consultant billing you by the hour, stretching your project for months with little actual progress.

Meanwhile, your risks stay where they’ve always been—buried under confusion, complexity, and misalignment.

I’ve been in the trenches for 30 years

This isn’t a mid-career pivot or a post-pandemic passion project.
I’ve spent nearly three decades in IT—coding, auditing, leading, and firefighting.

Here’s just a slice of where I’ve been:

  • Banks drowning in compliance paperwork
  • Healthcare dealing with strict regulation and real-world consequences
  • Energy and renewables companies juggling with product certifications
  • Defense and telecom sectors where product development must adhere to the high quality standards
  • Retail chains and manufacturers with legacy systems full of holes

I’ve seen what works—and what absolutely doesn’t.

I don’t just see the symptoms. I see the system.

When a client brings me a cybersecurity problem, I don’t just fix the obvious.
I dig deeper. I look at what’s really driving the issue:

  • Misaligned roles
  • Conflicting priorities
  • Gaps between departments
  • A culture that doesn’t take ownership of risk
  • Business too busy with real work for customers

Most tools and consultants only treat surface wounds.
I go after the root cause.

Because I know how it feels to be the one responsible—when nothing moves, when everyone’s pointing fingers, and when the pressure is mounting.
And I also know how to make it stop.

So yes, I’m fighting the tide.

The cybersecurity industry is full of noise. But what I offer isn’t noise—it’s clarity, structure, and practical outcomes.
I don’t sell fear. I don’t oversell tools. And I’m not here to squeeze billable hours out of you.

I’m here to:

  • Get your house in order
  • Help you meet NIS2 and other regulations without losing your mind
  • Build real cybersecurity maturity, not checkbox compliance
  • Give your leadership the insight and language to actually lead

Maybe I’ve gone mad.

But maybe that’s what this industry needs.

So if you’re tired of cybersecurity advice that feels like smoke and mirrors…
If you’re done spending money without seeing results…

Let’s talk.
No BS. No jargon. Just solid business defense—built from experience, not guesswork or ready made tools.
